Oak Savanna Restoration

9:00 a.m. - Noon
Join us for this opportunity to learn about this rare ecosystem while helping to restore an area of oak savanna right here in Madison.
We will have refreshments and a discussion at each gathering and look forward to seeing you there!
The first Saturday of each month - year round.
Arboretum Parking Lot located at the corner of Arbor Dr. and Monroe St.

Bike/Ped Path Work Days

9 a.m.

Meet at the intersection of the path and Glenway Street. Orientation and path projects are the 3rd Saturday of each month May-October, usually 9-11a.m. Signs will be posted in advance of events as well.

Events Information

Public Open House: Proposed 48-Unit Hotel at 1500 Monroe St.
7:30 p.m.

As a follow-up to the joint meeting of the Vilas and Dudgeon-Monroe Neighborhood Association Zoning Committees two weeks ago, the project team for the 1501 Monroe Project (48-room hotel) will hold another Public Meeting prior to the May 5th Public Hearing on the Demolition Permit before the Plan Commission. The public meeting will be an "Open House" event held at the Charette Room at 1501 Monroe Street, wherethere will be revised project plans, elevation drawings, material samples, and a scale-model available for review. There will be a presentation at 7:30 p.m. on the changes and modifications to the hotel proposal made in response to earlier public comments. The full project team will be available to discuss building design, traffic / access issues, and the hotel management and operations.

Neighborhood House Tuesday Open Gym and Play Group
Hi fellow rollers, crawlers and toddlers. We hope to see you at the playgroup. It's FREE and anyone is welcome.
Join the "Hood House Houligans":

• Tuesdays
• 10-Noon
• Parking behind building and on street
• Neighborhood House, 29 South Mills Street (1 block south of Mills/Regent)
• Bring toys to share (bring push, pull, riding toys if you want to cruise with Dillon!)
• Open gym, balls, belly boards and mats provided
• Full kitchen is available for use

Nursing, floor babies -- Gym too dusty? If you feel that the gym is a bit dusty/cold for your little one, the lounge may be more to your taste. There are comfy brand new couches, carpeted floor, room for plenty and lots of books to enjoy too. Take advantage!
