1 Are there other developments of this size in Madison that abut directly on a residential area of single-family homes?
Concerned about size of development, air/noise/light pollution

West Lawn won't remain an attractive residential space/property values will go down
Project should be brought in line with Monroe St. Commercial Plan

2 Concerned about traffic on Harrison, especially at intersection with West Lawn
Want to see speed islands on West Lawn

Want to see traffic engineers address solutions for the problems at the intersection of Harrison and West Lawn

3 Prefers Willy St. Co-op
4 Prefers Trader Joe's
Trader Joe's would draw from around city/enhance other Monroe St. businesses/bring in clientele
5 Height of building too high a price to pay for a grocery store
Prefer three-story structure with commercial tenants who can pay higher rent
6 In general, the plan is wonderful in every way
Covered parking should be obvious so people don't have to drive in to see if there's a space

Loss of the front of the building spaces hurts
Loss of Evergreen lot hurts
Public space useless/there won't be any concerts on Monroe
Six open, obvious stalls on that side (with statue, planter, etc.) would be better
Vacant lot across the street better for future public space

7 Trader Joe's would be a wonderful addition to the merchants on Monroe Street/would be a draw to the area
8 Strongly supports a grocery store
Doesn't think proposed structure is too large

Need of neighborhood for a grocery store is greater than the desire of the 1800 block of Keyes for a smaller building
Apt. complex on Monroe is more extensive and almost as tall
Dudgeon building is very large
Well-designed five-story building better than what's there now
Monroe St. is a business street - appropriate for such a building
Not too thrilled with design - looks institutional
Prefer something sleeker without being too modern
Not fond of yellow brick
Wonderful to have a real grocery store, especially Willy St. Co-op

9 Multi-use, comprehensive block is exciting and beautiful
Thanks for fine leadership, impressive coordination of city staff, development team
