	Under the City&#38;rsquo;s new zoning code (adopted Jan 2), the Edgewood campus needs to develop a ten-year master plan.&#38;nbsp; Edgewood and the neighborhood liaison committee have been working hard to find common ground on various proposals.&#38;nbsp;&#60;/p&#62;

	Please join us at this neighborhood meeting to hear the latest on the master plan and to share your own thoughts.&#60;/p&#62;

		 <title>DMNA News - Prospect garden work days 5/20 &#38; 6/1</title>
		 <link>http://www.dmna.org/htdocs/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/archive/dmna_news/20130514110732/</link>
		 <description>

&#60;hr /&#62;
&#60;p style=&#34;text-align: center;&#34;&#62;
	&#60;strong&#62;Prospect Gardens: May 20&#60;sup&#62;th&#60;/sup&#62; and June 1&#60;sup&#62;st&#60;/sup&#62; Work Days &#38;nbsp;&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;
	Spring is finally here and the 1500 square feet of Gardens around the Prospect Street ramps to the Southwest Bike Path need some tender love and care. On Monday May 20&#60;sup&#62;th&#60;/sup&#62; from 9 to noon, the gardens will be weeded and mulched. On June 1 from 9 to noon, if not already done, mulching will continue and a bed of 32 sedges will be planted after dirt is laid.&#38;nbsp; Please help out on any or both days and for any length of time. Monday is a good day for those who are retired or those who want to take off and enjoy spring.&#38;nbsp; If you want to work on other days and on your own schedule please contact me.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;
	You will get some good exercise while enjoying the company of your neighbors. Plus you will make a lasting contribution to our neighborhoods.&#38;nbsp; If you have a wheel barrow, please bring it as well as a fork or shovel suitable for moving mulch. Please contact Jake Blasczyk at 608-251-9506 or email &#60;a href=&#34;mailto:&#38;#106;&#38;#x62;&#38;#x6C;&#38;#x61;&#38;#115;&#38;#x63;&#38;#122;&#38;#x79;&#38;#x6B;&#38;#x31;&#38;#x33;&#38;#64;&#38;#x67;&#38;#109;&#38;#x61;&#38;#x69;&#38;#108;&#38;#46;&#38;#x63;&#38;#111;&#38;#109;&#34;&#62;&#38;#106;&#38;#x62;&#38;#x6C;&#38;#x61;&#38;#115;&#38;#x63;&#38;#122;&#38;#x79;&#38;#x6B;&#38;#x31;&#38;#x33;&#38;#64;&#38;#x67;&#38;#109;&#38;#x61;&#38;#x69;&#38;#108;&#38;#46;&#38;#x63;&#38;#111;&#38;#109;&#60;/a&#62; with any questions.&#60;/p&#62;

		 <title>DMNA News - Help pull garlic mustard next Monday</title>
		 <link>http://www.dmna.org/htdocs/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/archive/dmna_news/20130511120823/</link>
		 <description>

&#60;p&#62;
	&#60;strong&#62;GLENWAY WOODS Garlic Mustard VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, MONDAY MAY 13TH, 5-7pm&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
	&#60;br /&#62;
	A dedicated group of neighborhood volunteers has pulled garlic mustard in these woods for years. We&#38;#39;d like to formalize the effort this year as part of a&#60;br /&#62;
	proposal to restore and maintain this neighborhood asset. Come for some or all of the time we will be there. Bring a garbage bag/small digging tool (not a shovel!); wear gloves and sturdy shoes. (We will have some garbage bags if you forget that detail).&#60;br /&#62;
	&#60;br /&#62;
	Here are other details:&#60;br /&#62;
	&#60;br /&#62;
	✪1. &#60;strong&#62;Volunteer crew chiefs will gather at 5pm at the Glenway golf course entrance to the woods&#60;/strong&#62; &#60;strong&#62;that comes off the SW Path &#60;/strong&#62;closest to the steep incline at one end of the re-engineered ravine with a gravelled road access from the path.&#38;nbsp; On the left, a trail that goes along the woods; on the right, the road that parallels the path. This is not quite the midpoint between Glenway St and the Virginia Terrace/Sheldon/Fox/path intersection.&#60;br /&#62;
	&#60;br /&#62;
	✪2. &#60;strong&#62;From there, we will lead smaller groups to sites marked by red or orange flags. &#60;/strong&#62;There will be one &#38;quot;Glenway Woods Maintenance Project&#38;quot; sign at the bottom&#60;br /&#62;
	of the first incline over the small stream, and red flags there. At the top of that path, where turning right is easier than crawling under fallen trees, there will&#60;br /&#62;
	be other patches of garlic mustard, and at the end of that winding path, the stormwater ravine that runs from the 6th hole on the golf course and beyond, perpendicular to the path. Turn left, and watch for signs.&#60;br /&#62;
	&#60;br /&#62;
	✪3. &#60;strong&#62;If you access the woods from the Cemetery side&#60;/strong&#62; (near Virginia Terrace Ramp), you will run into a Glenway Woods Project sign right before the area mentioned in #2. Pick there, or watch for our crews heading north. Feel free to holler!&#60;br /&#62;
	&#60;br /&#62;
	Questions? email Sandy Stark, volunteer coordinator, at &#60;a href=&#34;mailto:&#38;#x73;&#38;#101;&#38;#x73;&#38;#x74;&#38;#97;&#38;#114;&#38;#x6B;&#38;#64;&#38;#x77;&#38;#105;&#38;#x73;&#38;#x63;&#38;#x2E;&#38;#101;&#38;#100;&#38;#x75;&#34;&#62;&#38;#x73;&#38;#101;&#38;#x73;&#38;#x74;&#38;#97;&#38;#114;&#38;#x6B;&#38;#64;&#38;#x77;&#38;#105;&#38;#x73;&#38;#x63;&#38;#x2E;&#38;#101;&#38;#100;&#38;#x75;&#60;/a&#62;&#60;/p&#62;

		 <title>DMNA News - SW Path volunteers needed for Prospect Crossing</title>

		 <description>

    &#60;hr&#62;&#60;strong&#62;&#38;nbsp;SW Path - Prospect St crossing&#60;/strong&#62;&#60;br&#62;
    &#60;br&#62;
    Neighbors from Dudgeon Monroe and Regent are into the fourth year of
    restoring areas surrounding the Prospect Street ramps to the Southwest Bike
    Path.&#38;nbsp; Nearly 1500 square feet with beds of prairies flowers and
    grasses, perennials, raspberries, strawberries and a promising cheery tree
    need care. Weeding is always a top priority.&#38;nbsp; More planting is also
    scheduled for the near future. Please volunteer to help on your own schedule
    or during periodic workdays, which are scheduled as needed.&#38;nbsp; You will
    be making a lasting contribution to our wonderful neighborhoods while
    getting to know your great neighbors. Please contact Jake Blasczyk at
    608-251-9506 or email &#38;#106;&#38;#98;&#38;#108;&#38;#x61;&#38;#115;&#38;#99;&#38;#x7A;&#38;#x79;&#38;#x6B;&#38;#x31;&#38;#51;&#38;#x40;&#38;#103;&#38;#109;&#38;#97;&#38;#x69;&#38;#108;&#38;#46;&#38;#99;&#38;#x6F;&#38;#109;. Jake will help you set up your
    schedule or put you on his email list for announcing workdays.&#60;br&#62;
    &#60;br&#62;
    And, see the wonderful article, &#34;A more beautiful Southwest Bike Path&#34; about
    Jake and this project in the Isthmus - at &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.thedailypage.com/isthmus/article.php?article=39774&#34;&#62;http://www.thedailypage.com/isthmus/article.php?article=39774&#60;/a&#62;.

		 <link>http://www.dmna.org/htdocs/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi/archive/dmna_news/20130425234002/</link>
		 <description>

    &#60;hr&#62;Just in case you don't have enough to do in Madison this weekend, the
    DMNA Path committee will be sponsoring a Path Walkabout and Garlic Mustard
    Pull this coming Saturay, 10am-noon, for those interested in learning about
    our native restoration projects and how to get started identifying, pulling,
    and bagging garlic mustard that is starting to bloom like crazy along the
    path and the Glenway Woods area. &#60;br&#62;
    &#60;br&#62;
    Meet up at the Glenway Prairie site, intersection of Path and Glenway Street
    (behind the golf course), and we'll get you started. &#60;br&#62;
    &#60;br&#62;
    Or come on your own: just contact me (sandy stark) for some guidance before
    you head out.&#60;br&#62;
    &#60;br&#62;
    We will be working in this area all season, so if you're interested, stay in
    touch.&#60;br&#62;
    &#60;br&#62;
    Otherwise, enjoy your weekend and the weekend after Earth Day doing
    something nice for your green spaces.&#60;br&#62;
    &#60;br&#62;
    Take care,&#60;br&#62;
    Sandy Stark&#60;br&#62;
