May 18th and
19th a Watershed Workshop designed for educators and open to the community
will be held at Wingra Park. Join an incredible panel of
facilitators and educators to explore Lake Wingra Watershed.
Participants will engage in various, hands-on, environmental science
activities that focus on key watershed concepts. The workshop
opens on Friday evening with a paddle to Edgewood College to learn about
the history of Lake Wingra from Professor Jim Lorman. Saturday
includes workshops on fish monitoring, lake exploration, limnology, and
more. Graduate credit is an option, through Edgewood College.
