Planning and Zoning Updates
The DMNA Planning and Zoning Committee addresses current zoning and
development issues, plans for their best outcomes, and advises the
DMNA Council about them. This committee represents the
neighborhood at city boards and commissions after consultation
with the council.
Current
new developments in the neighborhood are:
Parman Place
Development
The Madison Common Council approved the Parman Place plan and the
request for demolition and rezoning of the Parmanan's service
station on August 2, 2011. The zoning change was from C1
(General Commercial) to PUD-SIP (Planned Unit Development-Specific
Implementation Plan).
Documents related to this projectt:
- The Letter of Intent submitted to the city on
May 25th by Knothe & Bruce Architects.
- Concept drawings from May and as revised in June to
accomodate neighbors' concerns.
- The Planning Division staff Report to the Plan Commission on July
25th. This report was approved by the Plan Commission and
the Common Council.
