Summer is here, and nothing says that more than First Friday, June 5, and the first of the Music By the Water evenings, sponsored by DMNA and Wingra Boats. Stroll Monroe Street for events featuring art and artists, and food for First Friday, and include time down by Lake Wingra where the Monroe Street Art Center will host kids’ activities from 5:00 to 6:00, and the evening will flow with live music, food, picnic blankets, and people visiting and building community in one of our neighborhood’s treasured locations.

Celebrate summer with live music and food carts in Wingra Park. Enjoy tasty food and treats from local restaurants and spread out your picnic blanket or rent a boat and float to the sound of the band.

Don’t forget your picnic blankets and chairs! You’ll want to hang out in our beautiful park and enjoy summer vibes and music all evening long.
